Yes, the pills prescribed for panic attacks cause all sorts of symptoms, and the prescribers do not tell you ahead of time. I had no health problems in my life until panic set in, and all of a sudden, the pills caused weight gain of 100 pounds, elevated liver enzymes, high blood pressure, and a host of other physical problems. Is it worth it to fix one problem while knowing that many more will begin?

Dont touch medication or you become reliant on it, i was on seroxat 5 years and struggled to come off it! try things like chi gung loads of links on youtube, exercise sports get fit feel good about yourself, can be a long process so dont give up when the first thingn doesnt work and keep trying, try to get out fresh air. look at what makes you depressed or stresed and try to change them. Some people have panic attacks when their hungover but still decide to get sloshed every weekend. goodluck

Anyone have inner ear problems? Here's a suggestion: Get the book "Phobia Free" by Harold N. Levinson. get it used on amazon or from the library for I have no financial interest in Levinson's work, just an emotional one. The book saved my life. Panic free for 16 years from a simple inner-ear medication called meclizine. Get your inner-ears checked, thoroughly. Write me, I'll send links to 13 medical studies on pub-med showing link between panic/agor and inner ear problems. Correlation:60-90%.
